Spend an Autumn day being enchanted by a whimsical fusion of local art and folk music. The third weekend of Take Me to River presents the best of both mediums all within the scenic St.Croix Valley. Including amusing activities for both adults and kids, plan on your September 26th being immersed in these events.
Start your Sunday at Afton Art in the Park, with their 37th annual art fair in Town Square Park. There will be over 90 artists displaying and selling their original work, as well as heartfelt food from local restaurants. All provided music will be folk and jazz.
Make sure to get an early start so you don’t miss the Pop-up Performance at the ArtReach St. Croix Mobile Art Gallery. The brand-new mobile performance space/exhibition gallery/road-side fresh art stand, will be making its inaugural appearances during Take Me to the River with performance by local fiddle legend Brian Wicklund and emerging bluegrass artists Blue Hazard.
While away your afternoon at the Spirit of the St.Croix Art Festival in Hudson, WI at the beautiful Lakefront Park. This annual art fair showcases the work of many more artists, and has multiple liver performers (such as living statues) and hands-on activities that are a perfect way to entertain your kids. There will also be several acoustic musicians strolling throughout the park, and creating a cheerful atmosphere, that persists from 10am to 5 pm..
These events are all a nature lover, an art lover and music lover’s dream, and are very worthy to attend and enjoy.
