Join Franconia Sculpture Park for its 26th Annual “Art & Artists Celebration” with a full day of tours, land art, workshops, and performances. This event is the official closing celebration for the inaugural 4Ground: Midwest Land Art Biennial.
Schedule of Events:
- 1pm: tour of land art at Franconia with Executive Director & 4Ground curator Ginger Shulick Porcella
- 1pm-4pm: community planting of Miyawaki Forest with artist Stephanie Lindquist and Ethan Bryson of Natural Urban Forests
- 2pm-4pm: rain stick workshop and performance with artist Maria Adela Diaz
- 4pm-6pm: opening reception in Mardag Gallery with Interact Center artists Daniel Metchnek, David Wright, and Matt Zimdars
- 5pm: musical performance by Mexican Institute of Sound (ticketed event)
- 6pm: performance by Marcela Torres at “Xochiotia”
- 6:30pm: performance by Down Syndrome Association with Interact
- 7pm: video screenings by Wesley Creigh and Jody Joyner
- 8pm: drag show with Quinn Tessential (ticketed event)
